Habits: American Mink live mostly in and around water and they are excellent swimmers. They eat many types of water and land animals. They are nocturnal, but occasionally can be seen during the day. Dens are constructed under tree roots, beneath logs or stumps, or they may use the old burrows of other mammals. Mink usually only have four young per litter. |
